Is there a difference between first love and true love? Judy Blume's groundbreaking novel about teen sexuality has a fresh new audiobook treatment
The bed is brass, covered with a patchwork quilt, and "nice and firm," Michael says, "in case you're interested."
Katherine is interested.
Katherine and Michael are in love, and Katherine knows it's forever—especially after she loses her virginity to him. But when they're separated for the summer, she begins to have feelings for another boy. What does this say about her love for Michael? And what does "forever" mean, anyway? Is this the love of a lifetime, or the very beginning of a lifetime of love?

Judy Blume's classic teenage romance makes its way to audio for the first time. The moment Katherine and Michael meet, there's a spark between them. As the two teens fall in love, they're sure it's forever--especially after Katherine loses her virginity to Michael. But what does forever mean when you're a teen? Narrator Caitlin Kinnunen adopts a leisurely pace for this teen love story. While there is little distinction between character voices, Kinnunen's narration reflects Katherine's raw emotion and sensitivity. She fills Katherine's voice with questions and wonder about falling in love, sex, and romance. Kinnunen's tender and warmhearted delivery adds depth to Katherine and Michael's romance. While the references may be dated, the emotions still ring true. S.B.T. © AudioFile 2022, Portland, Maine
